Our training program equips firefighters with the skills and knowledge needed to safely and

effectively assist autistic individuals during emergency situations.

Components of the training include:

Understanding autism characteristics and communication differences

Sensory sensitivity management (lights, sounds, touch)

Techniques for reducing fear and anxiety

Approaching children who may hide or shut down

Guiding individuals who may run or wander during crises

Supporting families during high-stress scenarios

Case-based training for house fires, car accidents, missing child calls, and medical emergencies
